| Improving Access to Information Resources Улучшение доступа к информационным ресурсам | Since 1996 when we had for the first time an internet access the staff from the Hospital of Occupational Medicine Cluj-Napoca improved their skills in computer use and internet browser and also in computer related issues. Now all the hospital staff are able to find various medical information from a wide resources area using internet medical databases (e.q. Ovid, pubmed, biomednet etc.) and/or various links (search engine, messengers etc.) . At the moment in almost each physician's office is installed a networked computer with full internet access and also with access to the hospital databases. The physicians are exchanging documents and information between them and external colleagues using LAN and Internet. The Hospital WEB server provides medical information on the occmed site and also, being a mail server, it provides a E-mail access world wide. |
| Promotion of EBP Внедрение научно обоснованной практики | The hospital, due to the new regulation, has to develop and maintain a Medical Quality Core (MQC) group which has to be focused on the standards of practice, guidelines and on the efficiency of medical practic. Monthly, the group has to report the results to County Directorate, results which will be summarised and sent to the Ministry of Health. In the group is involved 3 physicians and head nurse. |

examples Научно обоснованная практика - другие примеры | The involved staff are seearching the internet for related materials (general standards, national standards, european standards and guideliness in occupational health system and occupational medicine) in order to prepare the most appropiate local and national standards and guideliness. in the same time, most of the involved physicians in MQC group are working also at the University of Medicine, Department of Occupational Health and information retrived from the internet are used also for develop new educational curricula. |
| Grants and Sustainability Гранты и самофинансирование | In many applied grand proposal, LRC and LAN is presented both as an opportunity for develop the project and also in expenses chapter of the grant where is specified that the communication costs are lower than other projects as long as the costs for LRC are mainly in maintaining and not in develop.Anyway, the LAN and the hospital database provide a source for cost covering of LRC maintainance and/or develop as long as using it in contracts, part of the incomes are used for LRC. |
| Databases and Information Systems Базы данных и информационные системы | For the moment the Hospital of Occupational Medicine has a Web and Mail server which connect 12 computers to Internet and to LAN, a local database server which store hospital databases, part of the electronic patient record systems. For each hospital department exists local computers which store some local databases and records used only for that department (e.q. laboratory department has 3 computers where are stored various data used only by them). |

Developments Другие родственные виды деятельности | We intended to develop a local site for distance education with a support by University of Medicine and Pharmacy. For the moment, due to the future managerial changes in the hospital and Department of Occupational Health (the current chief of the Hospital, which is in the same time the Department chief, will retire starting with October 2004, and for the moment there is not elected a replacement person) the projects related to distance learning and telemedicine are suspended. |

| Your expectations Что хотели бы получить от участия в сети LRC | As long as we have a long experience in medical information system and also in setting and coputer used we could provide help and support for new partners and also for olders ones. More, due to the fact that I am working now as a Customer Executive at a Software company in my particular case I would be able to provide professional solution for solving, developmening and improving IT system. In the same time, by specific of my work I am the one from the few people in Romania but maybe in Europe also which could deal with Palm Pilot troubles and OS. Maybe, in the future we could implement a Palm pilot based system in the CEE Countries for Electronic Patients Record System. I would be open to work with AIHA and LRC Network projects both within the Hospital LRC and also outside of it. |
| Travel support possibility by institution Возможность поддержки учреждением поездки на конференцию LRC | As I know, for the people involved in the Hospital of Occupational Medicine activities, due to some organizational problems (alll the expences should be approved by County Hospital) the County Hospital could has not the willness to pay the costs of travel and lodging for invited person. In such case a covering source could be reached by a sponsorship, maybe from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and/or from personal budget. |
